“What if today, we were just grateful for everything?”
Charlie Brown
I don’t have much to say at the moment. It’s been a difficult week, and I haven’t had the mental, emotional, or energetic space to craft a meaningful, heartfelt newsletter.
So, I thought i’d take a moment to simply thank you for being here. Your presence, week after week, means so much to me. I’m deeply grateful for your support and the value you find in this little passion project of mine.
In honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, I’ve gathered a few things to help you celebrate in style. I hope you enjoy them.
Gratitude Sleep Meditation: A Yoga Nidra for Giving Thanks : Ayla Nova
1 Hour | All Levels
This Yoga Nidra practice was a pleasant surprise. I didn’t expect such a subtle delivery of the gratitude theme or the generous space Ayla offered to simply rest in awareness. While this is a fundamental aspect of Yoga Nidra, it’s surprisingly rare. Many teachers talk through every stage without pause, and I often find myself wishing got more quiet moments to just be.
If you’re ready to deepen your Nidra practice, this session offers a beautiful opportunity to explore that stillness.
Yoga to Cultivate Gratitude for the Body | Black Yogi Nico Marie
17 Minutes | All Levels | Beginner Friendly
Gratitude is a big part of my daily practice. Even in the most challenging times, I find comfort in appreciating the many beautiful blessings in my life: a big, close knit, loving family, a cozy cabin, an amazing community, a cool kid, etc. etc.
And this class reminded me to add one more to the list—my healthy, bangin’ body!
This top notch practice is hot off the presses. Nico posted it just nine hours before I woke up and discovered it. By the time you read this, it’ll be about 33 hours old. I plan to revisit it tomorrow (Sunday, November 24th). So if you decide to join, it’ll feel like we’re practicing together. See you on your mat!
Yoga for Gratitude | EveryBODY Yoga | Yoga with Carolynne
20 Minutes | All Levels | Beginner Friendly
Carolynne does an excellent job of weaving gratitude into this gentle and comforting class. I appreciate how she took her time, easing us into the practice and helping us connect to the sensation of gratitude
The sequence is both unique and dynamic—it felt amazing. The fluidity of the movements made it easy to stay connected to my breath and remain present throughout.
A quick note: The class begins in hero’s pose, which I found challenging to hold. I simply shifted into easy pose and rejoined her in hero’s pose when it was time to move. Feel free to modify as needed!
Gobble Gobble | Mathew West
I have to include this fun Thanksgiving song. It always brings a smile to my face. It’s my niece’s favorite. She knows every word and we listen to It on repeat this time of year. I love belting out the chorus with her and seeing the joy on her little face. I hope you find a little (or a big) someone to sing it with this week too.
Well that’s it for now. May your week be filled with pie, pleasant company and some good old fashioned rest!!
See you next Sunday.
Thanks Jenny. These look lovely. I look forward to practicing them.
