For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne
We'll drink a cup of kindness yet
For the sake of auld lang syne
And surely, you will buy your cup
And surely, I'll buy mine!
We'll take a cup of kindness yet
For the sake of auld lang syne
-Auld Lang Syne
Last year, New Year’s Eve landed on a Sunday, and I used the occasion to share a special issue of the Root&Rise newsletter. It highlighted upcoming offerings from some of my favorite online teachers—Yoga with Kassandra, Yoga with Adriene, Black Yogi Nico Marie, Arianna Elizabeth, and Jai Dev Singh
The New Year is an exciting time to be a home yoga enthusiast! It brings a wave of new—and often free—online programs to explore. This year, I’m giving you a fresh collection of resources to help you step into 2025 with intention and ease.
I have so much to share with you—some familiar faces and a few new ones joining the mix. Whether you're reconnecting with longtime favorites or discovering fresh perspectives, I hope these offerings bring inspiration to your practice and your year ahead.

30 Day Yoga Challenge | Sarah Beth Yoga
30 Days | All Levels | Beginner Friendly
Sarah Beth is launching her 30-day yoga challenge on January 1st, 2025. That’s 30 days of free yoga classes to “help you stretch, strengthen, tone and destress”.
One of the more unique and useful aspects of Sarah’s challenge is her organization. The thumbnails for each video will be color coded, making it easier to choose the classes that meet your needs. How cool is that?!
Here’s her system:
PINK = Power yoga (workouts)
TEAL = Vinyasa yoga (flows)
BLUE = Hatha yoga (stretches)

Get Set Yoga : 8-week challenge | Barti Yoga
8 weeks | All Levels
I haven’t practiced much with Bharti Yoga, but I have been curious about her for quite a while. This feels like a good opportunity to check her out!
The fourth annual “Get Set Yoga” challenge will feature:
An 8-week yoga challenge
3 - 30 mins sessions per week—every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Inspiring yoga flows designed to transform your body, mind, and energy
This is a refreshing twist on the usual New Years yoga challenge. it can get a little overwhelming to keep up with new classes every, single day. If three practices a week feels more manageable, this is the program for you!

7-Day Meditation Challenge for the Easily Distracted | Molly Donlan
7 Days | All Levels | Beginner Friendly
I’ve followed Molly on instagram and listened to her podcast for a while now. Molly Is a self proclaimed “former skeptic turned Reiki Master and Crystal Healer”. Despite the lofty titles, Molly is actually really, really, down to earth. She films videos in her kitchen and her content is not only relatable, it’s helpful too.
I’m really curious to see what she has in store for this meditation challenge. Molly promises to “help you find your way to meditate—and more importantly, stay consistent.” So, if you’re someone who struggles with meditation, this might be just the program you’ve been searching for.

New Year Yogalates Challenge | Arianna Elizabeth
31 Days | All Levels-ish (Intermediate?)
I’m throwing Arianna’s Yogalates challenge in the mix because, while it’s not for everyone, some of you will probably love it. Arianna describes the demographic for this challenges as:
The person who is looking to gain flexibility and strength in one go
The person who is interested in dipping their toe in yoga, or pilates
The beginner or intermediate yogi looking to advance their practice
The person with back pain who wants to treat it holistically
I’ll definitely be checking it out…with caution. I desire to build strength but my shoulders and knees can be finicky. So, it will be interesting to see if this works for my body. Let me know if you decide to try it out and how it goes for you.
Prana 7-Day Yoga Series | Yoga With Adriene
7 Days | All Levels | Beginner Friendly
Last, but most definitely not least, we have Adriene Mishler. Adriene has been blessing us with her annual “30 Days of Yoga” for ten years now. I look forward to it every year.
Alas, all good things must come to an end and Adriene recently announced she would be retiring her much beloved tradition. In it’s place, she offers us a 7-day series perfect for “New beginnings and Bittersweet endings”.
I’m intrigued! I always love Adriene’s classes and I’m sure these will be wonderful. I cannot wait to check them out.
There is no sign up for this one. Just check YouTube for new classes after the first of the year.
Alright friends, that about wraps it up. By the time I grace your inboxes once again, it will be 2025! I hope you ring in the NewYear ways that bring you joy. If that’s a wild night out with friends, hell yes! Get it gurrllll (and guuuyyss). If it’s a quiet night in with some sparkling cider and your main squeeze, good for you! If you plan to read a good book, crawl in bed early and sleep right through the New Year countdown, I will be right there with you!
However you choose to celebrate, may you be happy, at peace and surrounded by all the love you deserve!
See you next year.
Thank you for that overview! I’m not sure yet which one to pick.
I confess to regarding the start of 2025 with some trepidation — so these yoga offerings are most encouraging! Thank you.
