The first step in crafting the life you want is to get rid of everything you don't.
-Joshua Becker
How much is too much?
I love clothes.
I revel in the ritual of choosing an outfit, styling my hair to match and selecting the perfect piece of jewelry to pull it all together.
I take my time packing for trips and preparing for events, delighting in the process of combing through my wardrobe, trying things on, and curating the perfect combinations.
I adore perusing racks and shelves, hunting for just the right colors, sizes, and styles. I gather armfuls of garments, disappearing into dressing rooms for so long that my companions wonder if I’ve left the store. Online, I read every review, comparing fabrics and fits, searching for the perfect version of whatever it is I’m looking for—be it boots, jackets or bras.
Hunting down accessories, shoes, and clothing that complement my already expansive wardrobe is a luxury I enjoy.
But one person can only wear so many clothes.
I have favorites, the pieces I reach for again and again. The rest—the “special occasion” dresses, the trendy impulse buys, the out of season sweaters—end up buried in drawers and forgotten in the back of the closet, waiting for a moment that rarely comes.
And despite this abundance, I still feel like I don’t have enough.
I stand in front of an overstuffed closet and think, I have nothing to wear.
I cycle through the same outfits, overwhelmed by too many choices. I am stuck in my comfort zone—prioritizing familiarity over effort. I buy more, thinking this will be the missing piece—the thing that finally makes my wardrobe feel complete. But it never is. The more I accumulate, the less satisfied I feel.
Because the truth is: I will never feel like I have enough while I am still looking for more.
The only way to find enough isn’t by acquiring—it’s by releasing.
The Purge
Earlier this week, I decided it was time for a purge.
I pulled everything out, piled it on my bed, and methodically examined each piece. As I sorted, I was confronted with just how much I’d been holding onto that no longer fits—literally and figuratively. Some items belonged to an older version of me. Some were simply worn out. And some I had kept out of fear—fear that I might need them someday.
But in the end, I found the courage to let go.
I laundered and carefully folded the best pieces, setting them aside for the women’s shelter. They are still beautiful, in some cases brand new—just not right for me anymore. They belonged to my past, but for someone else, they might be part of a bright new future.
A few of the more expensive items will go to the consignment shop, where they’ll be exchanged for store credit—eventually transforming into my new favorite blouse, purse or pair of jeans.
And the rest—the well-loved, well-worn garments that have served their purpose—went into black garbage bags bound for Goodwill. They have a little life left in them…for someone else.
I’m letting go to create space.
Space for what truly aligns with who I am now. Space to breathe, to move, to see clearly what I already have.
And I realize, It’s always been enough.
Yin Yoga For Letting Go (All Levels) 20 Min | Annie Au Yoga
22 Minutes | All Levels | Beginner Friendly
Yin Yoga is still somewhat uncharted territory for me. I first explored it to bring more variety and substance to this newsletter, but the more I practice, the more I fall in love with it. I’m beginning to see the real value in staying—in a pose, in discomfort, in the quiet space where self-discovery happens.
This class is a lovely introduction to Yin Yoga. The poses are approachable, and the holds are just long enough to settle in and get a feel for the practice. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it, and I’ll definitely be returning to it again!

This Yoga Nidra is powerful. I’ve been working with it all week, and I knew I had to share it with you. It’s over an hour long, but every time I reach the end, I think—No way that was an hour!
It’s deep, healing work—but in that effortless Yoga Nidra way. This one is staying in my rotation, and if you try it, I’d love to hear how it feels for you
11 Steps to Self Worth | Watch This and Change Your Life | Margarita Nazarenko
32 Minutes | All Levels
I am OBSESSED with Margarita Nazarenko. Obsessed, I tell you.
I just discovered her on TikTok this week, and I’ve been mainlining her content ever since. Her TikTok is packed with bite-sized pep talks—quick, digestible wisdom for when you need a boost. On YouTube, she dives deeper into topics like feminine energy, magnetism, self-worth, and attachment. And her podcast? Thought-provoking conversations with fascinating guests. All of it is amazing.
This video, in particular, is about uncovering and optimizing the qualities you already have. She talks a lot about looking your best, but I love her take—it’s never about looking like someone else. It’s about enhancing what makes you uniquely beautiful.
Oh, and she’s snarky in all the best ways—funny, sarcastic, and full of wisdom. She is my new favorite content creator across every platform. Hands down. Check her out and let me know what you think!
Please don’t come for me—I know my shopping habits are problematic. I’m working on it. Slowly shifting toward a more content, grateful mindset. It’s a two steps forward, one irresistibly cute jacket back kind of process.
Lately, I’ve noticed how much my urge to expand my wardrobe ties in to my sense of security and stability in other areas of life. It’s all connected to that feeling of lack and the ever-present question: Am I enough? And honestly, I think we all fall into the trap of trying to fill that gap with stuff.
But we’re learning, right? Learning to turn inward, where the only real sense of contentment has been waiting all along: tapping into our authentic, one-of-a-kind self.
I hope you have a very worthy week. Don’t forget…You are enough. You have always been enough. You will always be enough.
See you next Sunday.
So relatable. Bravo on doing the purge, Jenny! I try to do that periodically too and you’ve inspired me to get to it this week. Thank you. Great post. 💜
Purging is such a great feeling!
